BEHIND THE SCENES

” I gave myself two creative years to make it real with field tests and an almost obsessive perseverance. During this time, I researched the pre-alpine herbs, I managed to know and discover some smallholders and bio-farmers and improved the recipe. After the bountiful and recurring sample tastes, my friends always suggested me the same naming: ‘It’s easy, isn’t it? You did it, give it your name.’ This is how our first product, Amaro Rubino, was born.”

amaro rubino: A BOUQUET OF FLAVOURS.

You will first savor the chamomile and the elder flowers, bond with the unmatched delicacy of pre-alpine honey. The floral scents grow into herbaceous and balsamic sensations brought by the mountain hyssop and the most common potherbs like thyme, bay tree and sage. The seasoned nuances of caraway just ahead of the bitter trace of gentian root and dandelion. At last a gentle echo of licorice discloses without prevailing, leaving a soft freshness on the palate.

Handpicked smallholder farmers, organic producers and biodynamic farmers who operate in eastern Piedmont, Varese district and Valsassina.
THE RECIPE CONCEPT
A recipe developed from a two-years-long, original, "homemade" and personal trial, it combines chamomile, elder flowers, nettle, caraway, and dandelion root. It is made with local ingredients only, with the exception of calabrian liquorice, a homage to this elixir creator’s grandparents.
